Teach for Romania develops a training program for teachers: „Less segregation, more diversity – Equal education for the roma and non roma community”

Teach for Romania, in partnership with Roma Education Fund, develops the training program for teachers, „Less segregation, more diversity – Equal education for the roma and non roma community”, based on the components necessary for inclusion, which come to complete the national curriculum.

Discrimination, stereotyping, prejudice are not just subjects to the trend of a generation that wants equality. Education should be equal and accessible to all, education should be an upward trend in a safe context, regardless of ethnicity, gender, status, religion or age.
The first training session of the 14 teachers Teach for Romania took place in April and addresses the issue of inclusion, segregation and racism. With us were wonderful people with whom we have stories about Roma culture extracted from inspirational, real, personal stories.

The course was given by Andreea Buzec (educational expert) and Ana-Maria Grădinariu (instructional designer, Teach for Romania), with Luiza Medeleanu (Roma Education Fund, educational expert), Alexandru Zamfir (Roma Education Fund, educational materials development manager) , Claudiu Grigore (content designer, Teach for Romania), Andrei Bărbos and Adrian Dumitrescu (teacher in program).

Thanks for making this possible!
